Somani, a Portuguese textile company of reference at the national and international level, specialising in the manufacture of knitted and terry products, has focused on emerging themes today, such as environmental preservation and social sustainability, combining the know-how collected over more than three decades with the latest technologies.

In this sense, it sought to respond in an effective and avant-garde way to questions such as the increased concern for the well-being and health of children, making available its entire range of products in organic cotton. This choice allowed Somani to collect and maintain, for several years, the Global Organic Textile Standard – GOTS certification.

Alongside this, Somani has invested in the production of ecological terry (knitted), energy-efficient, durable (lasts 2 to 3 times longer than conventional terry cloth), which reduces water consumption (having the ability to dry up to 40% faster ) and cotton consumption in the manufacturing process. This effort resulted in a differentiated product adapted to current market trends, materialising global ECO awareness.


Somani also holds the international Oeko-tex Standard 100 certification and the Business Social Compliance Initiative – BSCI certificate. These titles guarantee it a strong association with themes such as Sustainability and Innovation.
